This is a
follow up to the previous article
on close male inbreeding.
A question has been asked about the sex of the better
horses that have a stallion close up (3x3 or less) in their pedigrees.
Are the better horses, not including those inbred to
Northern Dancer, fillies?
The answer seems to be no.
There are far more group winning colts inbred to a
stallion that there are group winning fillies. The fillies creep
back into contention in that there are more Listed and Stakes winning
fillies than colts.
